0%Though this family has its main root in Kerala, many of its youngsters and new families are not familiar to their heritage or do not have any idea of their ancestry. Many have memories and contacts limited to two or three generations consisting of grandchildren to grandparents. Though we have wide network of contacts and activities in our daily life, we hardly meet or interact with our own close relatives. In a busy and competitive life schedule, some of our members does not get the opportunity of attending Kudumbayogam or familiarise with others. This website is mainly meant for those members living away from their forefathers land and has different tongues. With this website, we are trying to provide a common platform to all family members to share their knowledge, skills, views, information and concerns with others. We anticipate more involvement and participation of our youngsters as well as family members of any age group. Please make use of this website to develop a better interpersonal relation and a very strong family bond among the family members living all over the world even though having not seen each other ever since.
As per the available records, the very first family assemblage (Kudumbayogam) of the Karuvatta Munjanattu Family was conducted in 1944, due to the earnest interest of our forefathers especially Kizhakke Munjanattu Geevarghese Chacko and Munjanattu Thekkeveettil Perumal Cherian. The gathering was also aimed to write a history of our family. Unfortunately the meetings were discontinued.
After a few years, by the initiation and inspiration of Late Sri.M.Mathew, Munjanattu Puthen Purayil, members were again gathered every month in selected houses and so many creative activities were formulated. These meetings were smoothly conducted for two three years. During that period, as per the desire of everybody, Sri M Mathew initiated to note down the then available history. Unfortunately for the second time also the Kudumbayogam was shaken up.
Again during the first half of 1970’s Kudumbayogam meetings were held. It was recorded that under the auspices of Munjanattu Kudumbayogam, convention meetings were conducted near Njarakkattu house, from Thursday the 10th Jan 1974 to Tuesday the 15th Jan 1974 at 7.30 pm and Kudumbayogavaarshikam was held in the convention Pandal on Sunday the 13th Jan 1974 at 4 pm under the presidency of Rev.K.N.John.
The attitude of our forefathers, no doubt contributed to the uniform well-being and social status of our present day generations. The greatest in our well-being however is the faith of our fathers in God almighty, whose grace has led us hitherto.
